Njegovo ime dolazi od francuske re\u010di <strong>\u201ecroissant\u201d<\/strong>, \u0161to zna\u010di <strong>\u201epolumesec\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 zbog svog karakteristi\u010dnog oblika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Istorija kroasana<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Iako je sada sinonim za francusku kuhinju, kroasan zapravo ima austrijske korene. Pri\u010da o njegovom nastanku povezuje se sa Be\u010dom u 17. veku, kada je, prema jednoj verziji, pekar napravio prvo ovo pecivo u obliku polumeseca nakon \u0161to su Turci poku\u0161ali da opsednu Be\u010d. U to vreme, polumesec je bio simbol osmanskog carstva, pa je bilo simboli\u010dno napraviti pecivo u tom obliku kao znak pobede. Prvo, hrskavost koja se stvara tokom pe\u010denja pru\u017ea bogatstvo tekstura, dok unutra\u0161njost ostaje meka i ne\u017ena.
